Job Summary:
The Hose Center Counter Attendant is responsible for customer service, sales support, and maintaining an organized and efficient counter area. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to assist customers with product inquiries and order fulfillment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and assist customers, answer inquiries and address customer needs.
  2. Recommend products to meet customer requirements and process “will call” orders.
  3. Restock shelves, front products, and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  4. Process customer orders and payments accurately, entering orders into the system.
  5. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and perform 5S duties as required.
  6. Maintain daily paperwork and submit to the front office.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
  8. Fabricate hydraulic, industrial, and pneumatic hose assemblies as needed.
  9. Assist with pick-up transactions, including locating and pulling items for customers.
  10. Perform data entry related to store operations, including cycle counts, product orders, transfers, and inventory stocking.
  11. Work with the store manager to maintain a professional store appearance, create displays, and support marketing initiatives.
  12. Participate in daily and weekly store and bathroom cleaning.
  13. Open and close the store alongside the manager.
  14. Provide after-hours on-call support for customer emergencies when required.
  15. Deliver and pick up materials as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:

  • Identify and fabricate hose and fittings according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Provide accurate order entry and ensure adherence to company pricing and credit guidelines.
  • Solve customer problems and create a positive experience.
  • Participate in product training and company events as assigned.
This position requires a customer-focused attitude, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. 
Compensation: $43,500.00 - $55,000.00 per year
